Sarah Hayhurst (MA) is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, who specialises in working with actors to optimise their vocal function, including teaching regional and foreign accents.
Sarah, a former actor herself, organises voice training sessions for businesses and individuals anywhere in the UK and Europe and offers internet-based and distance-learning packages to international clients based anywhere in the world. In addition, she also has expertise in improving people’s verbal communication in social and corporate situations.
Sarah was the accent coach for Neil LaBute’s Helter Skelter and Land of the Dead at The Bush Theatre, London. She has taught at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, The Guildford School of Acting, Rose Bruford College, The Oxford School of Drama and Bird College. Sarah’s Teaching Placement was at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Sarah has been Mentored by Jeannette Nelson, Head of Voice, National Theatre.
